Open Form in American Poetry presents a selection of revered scholar Burton Hatlen’s essays on Modernist poetry. Many of these essays are being published for the first time. The selection has been chosen and carefully edited by poet and William Carlos Williams scholar Bruce Holsapple. This collection includes an extensive bibliography and a gallery of color plates to illustrate Hatlen’s essay on Ezra Pound’s affinity to Pre-Raphaelite painters.
